Tijs is a great communicator and everyone who worked for him was lovely. Also the finances were fair in that the original estimate was kept to, payment was staged as work progressed, and the extras were negotiated.
They seemed to be a happy team, it was very well project managed with no hold ups and we felt very able to speak to any of the team if we had a query. They were all very responsive and couldn’t do enough to make it what we wanted even when we changed things a bit.
I describe them as a United Nations task force of helpful skilled trades - I would have any of them back.
They also dealt with building regs and Howdens for us, linked us in with the wonderful Lucio for the kitchen fit and stone worktop and the crazy plaster people who redid all our coving to match the original.

I wanted a shower that didn’t leak! The shower room was done about 30 years ago by an enthusiastic amateur and was definitely showing its age. Tijs advised me about insulation, technical details and having an extractor fan fitted. He provided all the construction materials but I ordered the shower and fittings, the tiles and the flooring. I particularly like the Italian border tiles that I found.
To my total lack of surprise, when they went up on the flat roof above to make a hole for the extractor fan, they found that the roof needed resurfacing so that was done as well. I expected the work to take about 2 weeks. Due to bank holidays in May and the roofing work, it actually took over 3.
Tijs and his team were very user-friendly. I’m happy with the work they have done and plan to use them to renovate my kitchen.

Tijs and his team are friendly and always happy to help with ideas. We are very happy with our garden room so it was natural to ask Tijs to do our kitchen too. Having a new kitchen means it feels like we have a whole new house. We would definitely recommend him and work with him again.

These guys are awesome and offer great quality pieces at a good price! Tijs and his team help us design and build a big library unit and a bookshelf in our kitchen which were both superb. The attention to detail and the help they along the way with different finishes etc was great. As with all projects the timing was slightly delayed but this did not take away from the final result - I would definitely recommend them!

We used Tijs Bauer to do a bespoke built in shelving unit as well as a cupboard , tv cabinet and fold out desk. Everything was designed to meticulous detail and we were able to review the drawings and designs until it was exactly as per what we wanted. The work was of very high quality and the finishes great. We were exceptionally happy with the final result. I would highly recommend them.
